Information regarding transfers

Regardless of what the sellers tell you, you do not need to call us to confirm that we accept transfers. We should be in the automated systems of most firearm sellers, auctions and manufactures.  If you run across one that does not have our info, please email us at info@libertygunsmithing.com and provide the sellers contact info, as well as any order info so that we may exchange licenses with them.

$35 for standard transfers

$25 for TX LTC holders

$65 for NFA transfers

We can facilitate NFA eForm transfers, however we are not set up to facilitate fingerprints or photos.  You will need to bring those electronic files (EFT and JPEG) to us on a flash drive or email them to us. You will also need to have an eForms account set up prior to coming in.

-Having your correct contact information with the seller is YOUR responsibility.  

-We call to talk in person. If your phone number or email is not correct, that is not our fault. Not setting up voicemail or having full voicemail boxes are not our fault. You're an adult.

-We process most transfer intake paperwork on the same day as delivery (most of the time within the hour).  Do not come rushing in after the tracking has updated to delivered.  We have to complete intake paperwork and will call you when it is done.

-If we call you and the phone number is not valid, we will begin the process of returning the item to the seller.

-If we do not hear from you within 10 days of the transfers delivery, we will begin the process of returning the item to the seller.

-If the gun is not picked up within 15 days storage fees will apply of $10 a week. (We do understand that life happens and communicating with us on this issue will usually result in us waiving the fees.)

All you need is a current and valid Texas Drivers License with your current address.  If you are active military, you will need your current state ID and your Permanent Change of Station (PCS) paperwork. 

As of Feb 1st, 2025 we will no longer be accepting Supplemental documents for DL's that are not up to date.
